1.     Consultation and Full Assessment. Dr. Vrutti examines your teeth, gums, and bite, and takes a detailed radiograph or CBCT scan to assess bone volume, density, and the anatomy of the implant site. She reviews your medical history, including medications, systemic conditions, and habits like smoking — before making any recommendation.

2.     Treatment Planning and Discussion. Dr. Vrutti maps out the full treatment plan: whether bone grafting is needed, which implant system will be used, the expected timeline from placement to final crown, and the total cost. Nothing proceeds without you understanding and agreeing to every step.

3.     Bone Grafting (if required). If bone volume at the implant site is insufficient, a bone graft is placed and allowed to heal, typically 3 to 6 months, before implant placement. Dr. Vrutti explains this clearly upfront so there are no surprises about the timeline.

4.     Implant Placement. Performed under local anaesthesia, implant placement involves creating a precise channel in the jawbone and positioning the titanium post. Most patients return to routine activities the next day.

5.     Osseointegration Period. The implant bonds with the jawbone over 3 to 6 months. During this time, Dr. Vrutti monitors healing at scheduled check-ins. A temporary restoration may be provided for visible sites during this period.

6.     Abutment Placement. Once integration is confirmed, a small connector post the abutment is attached to the implant. This is typically a minor procedure done under local anaesthesia.

7.     Final Crown Placement. A custom ceramic or zirconia crown is fabricated and secured to the abutment. Dr. Vrutti checks the fit, colour match, and bite alignment carefully before cementing the crown permanently. This is the step where the implant becomes fully functional and indistinguishable from a natural tooth.

Implants require the same care as natural teeth, consistent oral hygiene, and regular professional monitoring:

•        Brush twice daily with a soft-bristled toothbrush and low-abrasive fluoride toothpaste

•        Floss daily using standard floss, a floss threader, or a water flosser to clean around the implant and under the crown

•        Avoid biting very hard foods, ice, hard candy, or bones directly on the implant crown
